We Believe in The Lord’s Supper
Consisting of the elements, bread and the fruit of the vine, is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ, a memorial of His suffering and death, and a prophecy of His second coming. It is enjoined on all believers “until He comes”. (John 6:48, 51, 53-57; Luke 22:19-20; I Corinthians 2:11-12).
We Believe in the Holy Scripture
The scripture is God’s word; it is His written authority for the Church. The scripture was given to ordinary men and women through inspiration; the scripture is correct in principle and infallible in content.
We Believe in the Church
The church is Christ’s bride and His body in which to witness to the world through word and sacrament. The church is a fellowship of regenerated men and women called out to live a godly life.
We Believe in Tithing
Both the Old and New Testament scriptures teach tithing as God’s financial plan for the support of His work (Malachi 3:8-10; I Corinthians 16:2; Genesis 2:22-23; Deuteronomy 26).
We Believe in Marriage between a Man and Woman
Those who God has directed shall be joined together after counseling with the Pastors regarding what God requires of them in a Christian marriage (II Corinthians 6:14) according to the original Biblical plan of God in Genesis 2: 21-24. God created both male and female. The man shall be joined to his wife and they shall become one flesh.
We Believe in Humanity
Humans were created in the image of God. He breathed His life into humans; humans voluntarily rebelled against God and fell from a state of protection, thereby experiencing separation from God. Consequently, all humans are sinners but, by choice, are redeemable through Jesus Christ who is our only hope to experience once again the peace of God. Justification is the pardoning of sin. The gift of eternal life displays God’s love for humankind; and by faith in the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ is His righteousness given to us.
